Chop 0.5 medium onion into small pieces.
Chop 3 slices of bacon into small pieces.
Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook 200 grams of pasta shells according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large pan, fry the chopped 3 slices of bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon from the pan, leaving the rendered fat.
Add the chopped 0.5 medium onion to the pan with the bacon fat and sauté until translucent, about 3-5 minutes.
Pour in 1 cup of heavy cream into the pan with the sautéed onions.
Season the cream sauce with 0.5 teaspoon of salt.
